This weekend we’ve traveled to where the wind comes sweeping down the plains for a visit with Darin’s dad and stepmom. Currently it’s thunderstorming, so we can’t sit alone and talk and watch a hawk making lazy circles in the sky, but we have driven into Arkansas and Missouri in addition to Oklahoma this morning (Darin’s dad lives near the corner of all three).
Darin’s dad took us outside Southwest City, Mo. to see buffalo. The older two and Jenna had a big time feeding them white bread! Emma was a little bit terrified for a few minutes, but did not scream, thankfully. lol. Then we drove back into Oklahoma (like a couple of minutes lol), went to Wal-Mart (for fishing poles and insulin) and then back home for lunch.
After lunch, the little girls and I went down for naps and Darin, his dad and the other two went fishing. They returned just in time for a thunderstorm, but I’m told the kids caught fish. I know they were absolutely thrilled!
