I’ve been dying to make some treats for the puppies and this weekend I finally did.
I found a recipe modification online and got busy (with a few of my own substitutions). The kids and I tried them and they were dense but not flavorful, though they smell so delicious, but the dogs LOVE them. They actually got their lazy bums off the couch and followed me into the kitchen for more. The dogs, I mean.
(This is our new Bugg puppy, Yoyo, taking a treat. His brother, our first Bugg puppy, Bo, is in the background with Zip, my parents’ dog. Chihuahua Izzy was hiding.)
That is the equivalent of 16 paws up, friends. Even our picky chihuahua liked them.
The cool thing about these is that I made them in about 15 minutes, then baked them for 15 minutes and the treats were ready just like that. All of the ingredients came right out of the pantry/fridge, so I know where it all came from.
Just mix all of the ingredients together, roll into (small-ish) balls and bake. I flattened mine a little with a fork.
