Photograph-er

Do all little girls enjoy photographing their dolls? Yesterday on our way to pick up Emma and go to dinner, Jaiden posed her new barbie dolls in various locations in my car and snapped their portraits.

Here are newly-wedded Barbie and Ken on their way to a high-fashion beach shoot. Barbie’s looking chic with her feet in the gearshift, Ken’s looking hot while resting his bum on the A/C dial. This is where you’d tell your young photography student what to tell her models to do with their hands; Barbie and Ken are content to look like they’re caught doing the robot during the freeze dance. Hey, it happens.

Me with my overgrown hair, bad posture and crooked nose. But at least I’m not texting and going 75 mph.

A concept shoot – the models are photographed with giants sitting on thrones. The female giants want to rip their heads off; the male giant, however, is going for the legs. And oh the humanity, they look like they’re going to enjoy it.

She took several other photos – including one more of the models with the giants in the driveway, which was an exercise in posing, and one of the dolls on the couch that actually had great depth of field.

With a little practice, she might actually have a good thing going.
