Can we talk about music? Now, I love music with all of my heart – I love to whistle while I don’t work – but what is up with some of these songs on the radio?
First of all, Kelis, you’re right: I don’t have to like you, and I certainly don’t love you (except for Milkshake – that was hot), but really? I have to respect you? Because you’re bossy? Um, WRONG. The beat’s hot, the lyrics suck. No one cares that you’re bossy. Four year olds are also bossy. Maybe you should grow up and get over yourself already, because, girl, you ain’t all that. Sure you make more money in one day than I will ever see in my life, but whatever. I am so tired of this song. (Up here we get two Hip-Hop/R&B stations, a Top 40 station, then loads of country. Guess what I listen to? Yep. And sometimes both stations are playing Kelis at the same time. How annoying is that (Kelis or not)?)
Have you heard that new Beyonce song? Deja vu? Yeah, who hasn’t, right? Um, Be: that’s called obsession and hallucinations, not deja vu, hon. I don’t make the list, don’t be mad at me; I just looked it up in the dictionary. Don’t get me wrong, I like the song – the lyrics are catchy, you can dance to it, it’s wonderful … I just think you are a little bit .. how should I say this? Obsessed with Jay-Z? Misinformed of the meaning of deja vu? And um, way to disrespect yourself with the ‘Boy you hurtin’ that’ comment. Yikes. Not something I’d say within earshot of my parents, much less the entire free world. (I am so corny with that dictionary line, but whatever.)
Hey, did you know that Cash Money’s still a company and Weezy’s da boss? I didn’t. I don’t particularly care, but thanks to Li’l Wayne I do know that Cash Money is, in fact, still in operation. Thanks for clearing that up, Li’l Wayne. I’m glad you’re stuntin’ like your daddy, because what better role model than Birdman? (I really dig this song, though. lol.)
Letoya, Letoya .. let’s talk about Miss Letoya. A part of me wants to leave you alone / A part of me wants for you to come home / A part of me says I’m living a lie .. and so on, and so forth. Well, Letoya? Part of me wants to know when you’re gonna get off of my radio. Also? Take it from me: you need to move on. He won’t change, girl. I’m telling you to leave that boy alone, put him out of your head, and go on, girl. You’ll be happier if you do. Girls like us don’t need fickle boys, okay?
Mike Jones! (Who?) Mike Jones! (Nothing about Mike Jones, just had to throw that in there because I love Mike Jones. lol.)
I really can’t stand E-40. No, no, no, no, no. A-NNOY-ING. Look, I rock out to Snap Yo Fingers until we get to E-40, then I stop, sit there and get mad, then get back to business when he’s through. He’s just irritates me. I like U & Dat, but only the hook. I don’t mean no harm, it’s the hood in me. lol.
Can I also ask why Grillz are so popular? Because .. um .. well I don’t see the point? Am I missing something? Yesterday I saw a six-year-old at Jaiden’s school wearing some. I’ve seen women wearing them. I see men wearing them. They are just not attractive. Please fill me in because .. yeah, I don’t get it. Totally not cute. Especially if you have gapped teeth, dude. And people that have grillz always smile so weird for pictures. What the heck is that about? LOL! (Sorry I had to call your boy out, MB, but man, what is up?)
And what is up with the new ‘hey, let’s create a hott new dance!’ trend? The motorcycle? Twisting your body from side to side? A no rhythm white girl like me likes these dances. I can do these dances. But we want something better out of Project Pat! Project Pat! and Three Six than them telling us to twist our bodies from Side 2 Side.
So, okay: open discussion (in my comments). Let’s talk about music! Any kind of music or anything related to music. Obviously I ‘got jokes’ as Ryne says, and I do, but there are also songs I really like, like Ridin’ High, Stunna Shades, It’s Goin’ Down, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and then a ton of songs from Rascal Flatts (what a mix, right?). Sadly, I don’t get any kind of alternative or modern rock stations here unless I’m in Memphis. What am I missing from there? Any new Fallout Boy singles? Any new Green Day?
Also, some business to take care of: Two of my girls have encouraged me to put up ads, so I have (over there, in the sidebar, see?). Right now I have filler ads on my site until real people advertise, so why not get those stupid poker ads out of here and advertise on my site? Or refer someone here, please? Click the link to find out more information, demographics, and pricing. Thank you very much!

I heard “bossy” for the first time today and was like “wtf?!” I guess when put out a hit like “milkshake” and you’re married to Nas, you can put out anything else and it’ll hit the air waves. LOL!
Have you heard Paris Hilton’s single? The first time I did, I thought Gewn had gone back to her “No Doubt” roots. Nope, I was wrong.
Woohoo! Ad dudes, you SO need to advertise here. Ok? Ok.

I have no idea what you are talking about!
Man, I feel so old!
I listen to the alternative station i.e. Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Gnarls Barkley

Nikki – I haven’t! I heard someone say it was actually good though, then they found out it was Paris and where shocked/embarrassed that they liked it! lol!
Jenni: Ooh! Gnarls Barkley is good! I have Crazy as my ringtone! I love it, it’s perfect for me; just repeats: “Does that make me craaaaaazaaaaay? Does that make me craaaaaaazaaaaay? ..” lol.

ahh.. that Letoya song is on full rotation round here. Drives me nuts because as you’ve probably surmised through flickr i’ve been “TORN” alot this week. That and “Sexy Love”. Sadly A sings from the backseat “She makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up… just on touch”… and requests “Sexy Love”.
Considering we live in Sacramento we only have 2 real hip/hop-R&B stations but we do have a good “slow jam”/oldies whatever you wanna call it.

You probably named about everything I have been listening to lately and all the really annoying things that really burn my arse about those songs. I do,however, have to give it to my boy with the “sexy love”. I still turn it up. The beat is hot what can I say! Oh and by the way since no one mentioned her I will..WTF is up with Keisha Cole. WHAT idiot gave her a record deal. LOooooooooovee, never knew what I was missing…..shuuuuuuuuuuut up biotch!

you got the lyrics wrong for the beyonce/jay-z…
he says:
I don’t make the list, don’t be mad at me.
I just make the hits like a factory.
There’s a well-known studio called The Hit Factory…that’s what he’s talking about.
