Happy Monday.

This morning while Jaiden was in her tumbling class I took advantage of being childless and explored the town square for an hour. I wandered around, taking photos of anything I thought was interesting, anything I wanted to think about .. really, anything and everything. I took close to 70 photos, but only have a few online. They’re in the newly-created Tennesee set.

When I first started taking pictures I passed an older gentleman and did the usual, friendly, “Hi, how ya doin’?!” greeting. We nodded and continued on our separate ways. At the end of my hour he approached me. “Miss Picture-taker!” Aaah! He had three other guys with him and I thought that I was in trouble or something – like I couldn’t photograph the buildings without a permit or something. They wanted to know what I was taking pictures of – told them my daughter was in ballet and I was just a mom with some time to kill. They told me they have people come in and photograph the buildings for architectural surveys all the time. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing? Anyway, we got to chatting and it turns out one guys lives around the corner from me. And everyone knows the doctors who used to own my parents’ house, so they know where I live. lol. Small towns are cool sometimes.

Today was quite busy/productive. Jaiden had tumbling first thing this morning, I went to Wal-Mart twice, Kroger once, Walgreens once. Ryne and I put Jaiden’s Power Wheel together (and I test drove it – it’s fun! I never had one as a child). We swam. We played outside. Jaiden and I made cupcakes. I post-processed the aforementioned photos. I stood up for myself. And now I have to do the dishes, get some work done, then get in bed. Tomorrow’s Jaiden’s birthday!
